Rev. Deborah Queck served as the Executive Director of Ascending Hope Community Services from 2016 to 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous roles as Executive Director and founding member at The Silver Lining Community Services and Blessed Grace Social Services Ltd. Her leadership and expertise in social services were instrumental in expanding Ascending Hope's services to include Gamblers Recovery, Free Tuition for low-income families and senior care, haircuts, home refurbishment for rental flats and food distribution. Recognising the issue of social isolation among the elderly, she initiated lunch visitations and bread distributions as part of problem gambling recovery programme. This initiative not only provided social connections with lonely seniors but also gave volunteers a meaningful way to contribute to their community.

Under her leadership, Ascending Hope Community Services has achieved significant milestones - obtained Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status in 2021, received the People's Association Community Spirit Excellence Award in 2023.

As a counsellor, she has been providing support services for families facing challenges. She adopts a holistic approach to help beneficiaries develop purposeful lives to become valuable contributors to society.
