Calin Tan is a cancer survivor dedicated to advocating for cancer awareness and support for over 10 years. She was the chairlady for Singapore Cancer Society Bishana Ladies Group. She has been involved with the Singapore Cancer Society's (SCS) Relay for Life event since it started in 2017, participating in this 15-hour community event that raises funds and awareness for cancer support services. As a cancer survivor herself, Calin is committed to supporting those affected by cancer, actively participating in cancer awareness events, sharing insights on coping with cancer, focusing on themes of resilience, hope, and the importance of community support in the cancer journey.

As a board member of Ascending Hope Community Services, Calin brings her wealth of experience in elevating community building and social advocacy. Her vision of creating a supportive ecosystem for individuals facing life challenges aligns perfectly with Ascending Hope's mission.

Calin's dedication has been recognised with several awards, including the Singapore Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year award. Her personal motto, "There's always a rainbow after the storm," reflects her optimistic approach to life's challenges and her commitment to spreading hope among those she serves.
